Italian poppy — COLIBRÌ ROSA CHIARO PASTELLO
EU shipping: live plants are sent with care, but travel at the buyer’s risk
Colibrì Rosa Chiaro Pastello is an exclusively bred poppy from the Italian Biancheri Creazioni. The flowers are sheer and bright with tissue-light petals in a soft, pastel pink tone with a subtle creamy depth. The expression is airy, elegant and natural — just as beautiful in the garden as in a bouquet.
The variety has relatively sturdy stems and a graceful plant form that makes it appreciated by both gardeners and cut flower growers who are looking for something delicate and exclusive.

Cultivation advice
Sowing time: Late winter–early spring (indoors). So superficially — don't cover the seed (it germinates in light). Keep the seedbed evenly moist but never wet.
Germination temperature: 10–15°C (cool is better than hot).
Expected germination time: approximately 7–21 days (sometimes longer).
Light: Lots of light after germination
Temperature: Cool after emergence (12–16°C gives best quality)
Planting outdoors: When the risk of hard frost is over
Distance: approx. 25–30 cm
Location: Sun to light partial shade, well-drained soil
Flowering: Early summer (when sown in spring) / early season when overwintered
For cuts
Harvest when the bud is just starting to show color and feels “softly springy.” Quickly scald the cut surface in hot water for best shelf life.
